(00:18):
Thank you for tuning in to the 76th episode of the Wedding Songs Podcast. I am Matt Campbell, and today I’m gonna be giving you my hot 50 wedding song picks that you could play for your wedding ceremony or your reception. These songs are selected from the popular downloads and songs that are streamed on the internet. If you prefer to read the list, or listen to the list you can do so on our website, MyWeddingSongs.com. Just go to charts on the main menu, and then Hot 50 Wedding Songs. And while you’re there, make sure you sign up for our monthly newsletter that goes out on the last day of the month. The newsletter features all of the new songs released the prior month, and it’s great song ideas for your wedding day and also for date night. So let’s go ahead and get started. I’m gonna give you these lists in alphabetical order by the song title, starting off with song number one, “A Little Bit of Love” by Weezer, released in March of 2022. This is a great song for alternative rock fans, that really is a mid-tempo song that you could have as a background song during your reception.

(01:11):
Next up is  “abcdefu” by GAYLE, released in August of 2021. Now, of course, this is not gonna be a song that you’re gonna play at every single wedding. If you have a group that loves this type of music, that loves a great sing-along song, then towards the end of the night this is a great song that you could play for all of your family and friends to sing along to. Number three is “About Damn Time” by Lizzo, released in April of 2022. This is a great R&B hip-hop song that you could play just to get all of the ladies out on the dance floor singing along.

(01:54):
Number four is “All 4 Nothing (I’m So in Love)” by Lauv, released in April of 2022. A great song that you could play as a background song during dinner or during cocktail hour. It’s a mid-tempo song that I think would really fit into pop music lovers’ playlist. Number five is another pop song, “As It Was” by Harry styles, released in March of 2022. Another great background song to play. At number six is “Bad Habits” by Ed Sheeran, released in June of 2021. This is a song that you could play as a background song, or even if you have a great remix to it, it could also go as a great dance tune as well. Speaking of Ed Sheeran, he’s also at number seven with Camina Cabella, “Bam Bam”, released in March of 2022. I think this is a great background song. It goes really well with the pop fans and also for the Latin fans as well.

(02:43):
At number eight is a great party song that you could play during the dancing part of your reception. That is “Big Energy (remix)” by lotto, Mariah Carey, and DJ Khaled released in March of 2022. Number nine is “Break My Soul” by Beyonce. This song is for the people that are really keeping up with the new music and love Beyonce. So this is a song that you could add to your rotation for the dancing part. At number 10 is a great country song that you could have as a parent-child dance song. So, as father-daughter, or mother-son. It’s “Buy Dirt”, but it’s the acoustic version by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan, released in October of 2021. You could even have this as a money dance song as well.

(03:31):
At number 11 is a new song released from the Elvis movie “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Casey Musgraves. A lot of people have done a cover of this song. I consider this probably the greatest wedding song of all time, and she does a fantastic job with this cover. Number 12 is “Cold Heart (PNU remix)” by Elton John and Dua Lipa, released in August of 2021. This is a fantastic cocktail hour song that you could play to keep the mood up and everybody happy. At number 13 is “Crazy What Love Can Do” by David Guetta, Becky Hill, and Ella Henderson, released in April of 2022. This is a great song depending on the remix that you could have. It is a great dancing song, or it could be a background song during cocktail hour too. So just depends on how you want to use this song. At number 14 is “Dance with Me” by Caleb and Kelsey, released in May of 2022. This is a great first dance song you could have as a married couple

(04:21):
Number 15 is a great song that you could have towards the end of the night while everybody’s dancing. “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home)” by Elle King and Miranda Lambert, released in February of 2021. Just for the hip-hop fans, number 16 is a great background song during cocktail hour. “First Class” by Jack Harlow, released in April of 2022. At number 17 is one of the greatest new artists we have in music, Olivia Rodrigo, with her song “good 4 you”, released in May of 2021. Number 18 is a fantastic first dance song “Growing Old With You”, but this is the first dance version by Restless Road, released in April of 2022. At number 19, the brand new “Grrrls” by Lizzo, released in June of 2022. It’s a great song that you could have as a bouquet song, or as a girl anthem song to get all of the bridesmaids out on the dance floor. At number 20 is the ballad from the movie Top Gun Maverick, “Hold My Hand” by Lady Gaga, released in May of 2022. A fun fact about Lady Gaga is 21 Pilots were signed on to produce all the music, but Tom Cruise didn’t like their music. He signed Lady Gaga which worked out well for everybody except for 21 Pilots.

(05:28):

At number 21 is a great R&B wedding song, “I Do” by Rotimi, released in October of 2021. You’ll have to check out the video as they feature a wedding in the video. Number 22 is a great feel-good song, “I Got You” by Michael Franti & the Spearhead, released in May of 2020. It’s a little bit older, but just one of those songs that’s really popular right now. I think you could have it during the cocktail hour during dinner, just to keep the mood up. And number 23 is the brand new song “I Like You (A Happier Song)” by Post Malone and Doja Cat, released in June 2022, 2 mega artists.  This is a great song that you could have as a background song.

(06:19):
Just for rock fans or alternative rock fans, at number 24 is “I Think I Love You” by The Band CAMINO, released in September of 2021. You could use this as an entrance song for the wedding party, or even just as a background song, one song that every millennial will know. At number 25, you can’t go wrong with the voice of Ray LaMontagne. He teams up with Sierra Farrell with the song “I Was Born to Love You”, released in April of 2022. He released it himself a few years ago, but this is one of those great songs that really will have the emotion and the soulfulness of his voice, and that you could use as a first dance song or throughout your wedding. At number 26 is a trending song on TikTok, “Jiggle Jiggle” by Duke Jones and Louis Theroux, released in May of 2022. This is a song that you’d wanna play near the end of the night that you probably just wanna get in and get out. But it’s a great song that everybody will recognize for all of the TikTok fans

(07:13):
At number 27 is one of my favorite first dance songs on the list. ” Joy of My Life”, released by Chris Stapleton, November of 2020, so it’s a little bit older, but still a really popular first dance song right now. In case you didn’t know, the song was actually first released by John Fogerty. Yes, the John Fogerty of Credence Clearwater Revival (CCR). At number 28 is another brand new song “Keeps on Fallin’” by Baby Face and Ella Mai, released in June of 2022. This is a great R&B song that you could have throughout your wedding reception like during the cake cutting, your first dance if you want a little bit more up-tempo, or even as a background song. Speaking of R&B background songs, at number 29 is “Leave the Door Open” by Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak as Silk Sonic, released in March of 2021. Just for the partying and the dancing, at number 30 is “Levitating” by Dua Lipa, released in March of 2020. The brand new song “Massive” by Drake is at number 31 and was released recently in June  2022. Off of his album, you also have “Sticky” which is another great party song. So we’ll see which one gets more mass appeal, but “Massive”, I really like this as a party song

(08:27):
At number 32 is “Move” by DNCE, released in May of 2022. This is a mid-tempo song that you could play as a background song, or if you have the right remix, as a party song.  With number 33, 2 mega groups come together, Coldplay and BTS with “My Universe”, released in September of 2021. This is a song that you could have as a background song during dinner or cocktail hour. At number 34 is another great first dance, or just as a perfect love song for your wedding day. “Never Till Now” by Ashley Cooke and Brett Young, released in April of 2022. She actually released this as a solo first. So if you love her, then you could have her just singing the song or as a duet as well.

(09:21):
At number 35, speaking of duets, Jimmy Allen and Jennifer Lopez team up on, “On My Way”, released in May of 2022. Now, of course, Jennifer Lopez released this already on her Marry Me soundtrack, but she teams up with Jimmy Allen to release a country version of this song. At number 36, a must-play in the Latin genre “Pepas” by Farruko was released in June of 2021. This is a must-play for any Latin set. At number 37, for EDM fans, we have the new song “Potion” by Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, and Young Thug released in May of 2022. This is a song you could have as a background song, or even as a dance song with the right remix. Next up at number 38, we have a Latin song “Quiéreme Mucho” by Arturo Sandoval which was released recently, June 2022. This is from the new movie Father of the Bride. If you have a Latin set or looking for a Latin love song, definitely check out this song.

(10:24):

At number 39 is “Shivers” by Ed Sheeran, released in September of 2021. I think this is a great party song and it has the right theme for a wedding. At number 40 is “Skyline” by Khalid, released in April of 2022. A great song that you could have as a background song, or even if you have the right remix, as a dance party song. At number 41, another EDM hit, “Stay the Night” by Sigala and Talia Mar, was released in May of 2022. A great song that you could have during the dancing part of your reception. Number 42 is a trending song on TikTok and throughout the internet. It is “Sunroof” by Nicky Youre and Dazy, released in December of 2021. A great sing-along song for during dinner. At number 43 is another song to save towards the end of the night, but a great party dance song “Sweetest Pie” by Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa, released in March of 2022.

(11:16):
If you’re looking for a bride’s processional song, then at number 44 is “Take My Name”, but this is the wedding version by Parmalee, released in July of 2021. This is a fantastic song that you could have playing, as the song talks about taking my name, so it really fits the theme of a processional. And number 45 is a K-pop song, “That That” by Psy,  prod, and SUGA from BTS, released in April of 2022. This is a great party song that you could save for the dancing part of your reception. And number 46 is A hip-hop song. “That’s What I Want” by Lil NAS X, released in September of 2021. This is one of my favorite party songs on his Montero album. At number 47  “The Motto” by Tiësto and Ava Max, released in November of 2021. This is another song that you could add to your EDM set. At number 48 is “Until I Found You” by Steven Sanchez, released in September of 2021. This is a song that’s trending now. It sounds like it’s from the 1950s, but it’s just one of those great love songs that you could play throughout your wedding day.

(12:13):
At number 49 is the alt-rock band, The Black Keys with their song “Wild Child”, released in March of 2022. If you have a great group of guests that love The Balck Keys, then this is a must-play party song just for them.
